BRINGING NEW ORLEANS FLAVORS TO THE WEST COAST

About Us
At The Big Easy 43:19, our mission is to bring the soulful flavors of New Orleans to the West Coast with excellence, tradition, and purpose. Founded by Wanda and Tela—two women whose culinary roots run deep in Louisiana—our company blends authentic Creole recipes with a commitment to quality and hospitality.
Wanda, born and raised in New Orleans, carries decades of culinary experience. She previously owned and operated a Creole restaurant in Los Angeles alongside her husband, where her specialties—gumbo, jambalaya, po’ boys, pralines, and more—earned a loyal following.
Tela, with family ties to New Orleans but raised in Vallejo, California, is renowned for desserts that delight at every celebration. Her peach cobbler, praline poundcake, banana pudding, and signature brown butter rice crispy treats have become family and community favorites.
Our name, The Big Easy 43:19, honors both the city that inspires us and our faith. Drawn from Isaiah 43:19, it reflects the spirit of renewal and new beginnings:
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"
Together, we are dedicated to sharing not just food, but a true taste of New Orleans hospitality—infused with flavor, heart, and purpose.
